World of Dance w/ Urb Zoo Clothing

This is my event coverage of World of Dance at the Pomona Fairplex on April 4, 2009. It was a tyte experience. It had over 6,500 people in attendance. I was asked to DJ for Urb Zoo Clothing. Check them out at Urbzoo.com. Here are some behind the scenes pictures that I took at the event.

SHWA Clothing

The good friends from SHWA, out of Lake Forrest, hooked it up with a few free shirts for me and the girlfriend. They have some pritty tyte designs. And their logo itself is a sick design to rep. Dino is a tyte shoe artist. Putting some sick designs and paint on some shoes adds a nice twist. He has been featured and debuted at many events including Dunkxchange. He is proclaimed as the sickest show artist in Southern Cali. He does live art, sneakers, body art, and more.

Only half of the crowd from the main room. About 6000 people were in attendance. The place was packed. I could barely get a seat.

This was my dinner... It was bomb. It was about $13 for a hot dog, fries, and a sprite. It was from that food booth above. The wait was about 20 minutes. Not worth it. But I was hungry.

The pics from the LINES booth turned out bad. But, LINES was in attendance. And Holy Ink gave me a few shirts for me and my girlfriend. They're doing big things out in Westminster. More than a Year Later....

So, I stopped updating this, I guess I forgot about it. But lately I've been reading other people's blogs and stuff. So i felt like updating this. So I guess I'll start with 2008. It was actually a huge year for me. I started doing lot's of huge house parties out here in the valley which really put me on the map. I continued my residency at the Blue Nile Hookah lounge, although, it eventually ended. Eventually I started DJing for more CSUN parties, and have spun for most of the CSUN sororities on campus.

Another thing I did was DJ for Palooza, at there Loft party, which was another huge party that put my name out there. I also threw my own event in July called DARE TO BARE. It was the first " DJ CEEEJ PRESENTS " event. It was a huge success, over 300+ people were in attendance. According to my tracker, the flyer was also viewed over 5000+ times. Two weeks later we threw ANOTHER HOUSE PARTY, which also huge. These two parties put me on the map, and was a huge reason for my following and reputation.

Since then, I also DJ'd at Macy's a few times. ...when have you seen someone DJ at Macy's?

Besides that I started doing more club gigs, I also gained my first residency at Element on Thursdays.

Now that element is over, I started off 2009 with a good start, I had a 4 week run of spinning at Blue Ultra Lounge in Agoura Hills. I was DJing at their Thursday College nights. In addition to that I have spun at many other clubs, since then. I also DJ'd for Red Bull. They have sick DJ booths.

End of 2007. start of a mission ... "Takeover in 08"

So in october and november I was doing way more fraternity and sorority events, for parties and fundraisers, etc.

But the main event in the past month was on November 29. It was my second club gig. First one in Hollywood. My boy chris from BRAVEHARTS hooked it up for me. It was at Cinespace in hollywood. Nice place. I was nervous as hell. I was very confident going into the gig, but when I started djing I was very very nervous. I spun for a good thirty minutes. The biggest gig I have ever done. My set was alright. Wasn't the best Ive ever done, but Im proud of it. Ill do better next time. So since October Ive been practicing more often and djing more often. Ive been busier, so didnt have too much time for djing. but now i have lots of free time that Im going to devote to djing.

So as you can see Im making a quite an impact just to end 2007. with clubs, more parties, promoting for braveharts, clothing comapanies, blue nile hookah residency, and my new business cards. Just wait and see what I have in store for 2008.

My First Club Gig!

So I got my first club gig with Kreativity Events. They found me via myspace. I was still 17. and the place was at one of those lounge/restaurant/bar type of clubs, which was still nice for a club gig. since it wasnt an actual club club i as able to get in as a dj at the age of 17. I started promoting and practicing asap. I was nervous yet really excited. It was the first time I was on a club flyer. The day of the event I was really confident and felt like i was gonna be amazing.

So the event was September 22, 2007. It was called the Lil Tokyo Shakedown. It was a one time event at the senor fish nightclub bar and grill in little tokyo. So that night my buddy shahin and will picked me up and we went to the club. I was tehre somewhar early, so we checked teh place out. It was nice. took some pics. talked to the other dj's like dj c-jay. cool guy. messed around. it was fun stuff. Then we decided to go eat, so we walked a block or two and found a nice little tokyo type of environment and had some teryaki and some california rolls. It was good. We bought some samuraii swords and some sodas and went back to the club. It was still early so we took more pics and kept talking.

Eventually DJ fizix from Posted ent. got there and other people started showing up, so we got things started. Fizix and I were Dj-ing in the main room and right from there i was really excited. I started the night off. packed the dancefloor and everything it was a good feeling. It was really tyte. Then later on fizix got on he spun a set. It was cool. Eventually we left, I took some flyers with my name on it and got them framed. haha. It was a great night.
